1. What is permanent makeup(PMU)?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique that involves applying semi-permanent pigment onto the skin to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It mimics the appearance of makeup but requires minimal maintenance, lasting from 1-3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle.

2.Does it hurt?

A numbing cream is applied before the procedure to minimize discomfort. While some people may feel mild discomfort, the process is generally well-tolerated. Sensitivity levels vary from person to person.

3. How long does the procedure take?
  1. The time it takes varies depending on the area being treated and skin types:

  • Eyebrows: 1.5 – 2 hours (Approx)
  • Eyeliner: 1 – 1.5 hours (Approx)
  • Lips: 2 – 2.5 hours (Approx)
4. Is permanent makeup safe?

Yes, permanent makeup is safe when performed by a trained and certified professional in a clean and sterile environment. We use high-quality pigments and equipment to ensure the best results while following strict safety protocols.

5. How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup typically lasts between 1-3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the area treated. Over time, the pigment will naturally fade, and you may choose to touch it up to maintain the look.

6. Will I need a touch-up?

Yes, most clients require a touch-up about 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. This allows the artist to perfect the design and correct any fading that may have occurred during the healing process. After the touch-up, you can expect the results to last longer.

7. How do I prepare for my appointment?

Before your appointment, we recommend the following:

  • For Eyebrows: Avoid waxing or tweezing 3 days prior, and refrain from using Retin-A or other exfoliating products.
  • For Eyeliner and Lips: Avoid wearing makeup to the appointment.
  • Do not consume alcohol or stimulants 24 hours before the procedure.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning.

You will also need to fill out a consent form and discuss any allergies or health concerns.

8. Are there any risks or side effects?

As with any cosmetic procedure, there are some risks involved, including allergic reactions, infection, or uneven results. However, these are rare when the procedure is performed by a licensed professional. Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur right after the procedure, but these should subside within a few hours to a couple of days.

9. How do I care for my permanent makeup after the procedure?

Proper aftercare is essential to ensure optimal healing and color retention. After your procedure, we’ll provide you with specific instructions, which may include:

  • Keeping the treated area clean and dry
  • Avoiding touching or picking at the area
  • Applying ointments or balms as directed
  • Avoiding excessive sun exposure or swimming for a few weeks
10. Can I wear makeup over permanent makeup?

Yes, you can wear makeup over your permanent makeup once it’s fully healed. However, we recommend avoiding heavy makeup applications directly on the area during the healing period to prevent irritation.

11. Can permanent makeup be removed?

Yes, permanent makeup can be removed, though it’s a more involved process than applying it. Methods like laser removal or saline removal can be used to lighten or completely eliminate the pigment. Please consult with a specialist if you’re considering removal.

12. Can I get permanent makeup if I'm pregnant or nursing?

For safety reasons, we do not recommend permanent makeup for pregnant or nursing women. Hormonal changes during this time can affect how the pigment heals.

13. How do I book an appointment?

To book an appointment, simply visit our booking page or contact us directly. We require a deposit to secure your appointment, and we recommend reviewing our cancellation and rescheduling policies before booking.

14. How much does permanent makeup cost?

The cost of permanent makeup varies depending on the area treated and the complexity of the procedure. Please refer to our pricing page for detailed information or contact us for a custom quote.

15. Can I get permanent makeup if I have sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin, it’s important to consult with our artists before scheduling your appointment. We will assess your skin type and determine the best approach to ensure you get the best results with minimal discomfort.
