1. What is permanent makeup (PMU)?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique that involves applying semi-permanent pigment onto the skin to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It mimics the appearance of makeup but requires minimal maintenance, lasting from 1-3 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle.

2. Does it hurt?

A numbing cream is applied before the procedure to minimize discomfort. While some people may feel mild discomfort, the process is generally well-tolerated. Pain is rated a 2/10 on average, but sensitivity levels vary from person to person.

3. How long does the procedure take?
  1. The time it takes varies depending on the area being treated and skin types:

  • Eyebrows: ~ 1.5 – 2 hours
  • Eyeliner: ~ 1 – 1.5 hours
  • Lips: ~ 2 – 2.5 hours
4. Is permanent makeup safe?

Yes, permanent makeup is safe when performed by a trained and certified professional in a clean and sterile environment. We use high-quality pigments and equipment to ensure the best results while following strict safety protocols.

5. How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup typically lasts between 1-3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the area treated. Over time, the pigment will naturally fade, and you may choose to touch it up to maintain the look.

6. Will I need a touch-up?

Yes, most clients require a touch-up about 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. This allows the artist to perfect the design and correct any fading that may have occurred during the healing process. After the touch-up, you can expect the results to last longer.

7. How do I prepare for my appointment?

8. Are there any risks or side effects?

As with any cosmetic procedure, there are some risks involved, including allergic reactions, infection, or uneven results. However, these are rare when the procedure is performed by a licensed professional. Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness may occur right after the procedure, but these should subside within a few hours to a couple of days.
